March is Social Work Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible contributions of the social workers on our clinical team; Tracy Ham, MSW, Joslyn Ellis-Fournier, MSW, Abby Hearst, MSW, LMSW and Heather Merritt, MSW, LCSW.

Social workers bring a unique perspective to mental health and the therapeutic process— one that considers the whole person within the context of their relationships, communities, and life experiences. Their training emphasizes advocacy, compassion, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult moments.

We are grateful for the dedication, empathy, and clinical expertise our social workers bring to the work we do every day.

Our practice is proud to be a multidisciplinary team that includes social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists. Each discipline brings valuable training and perspective, and we look forward to celebrating our LPC and LMFT colleagues during their professional recognition months as well!

We want to say thank you to all social workers who continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Your work matters!!!

Your feelings aren’t too much. Sometimes what we’re feeling is the result of holding things in for too long, being unheard, or carrying expectations that aren’t ours. Your emotions deserve space and understanding. 🤍

Intrusive thoughts can take many forms—commands, “what if” worries, doubts about the past, harsh self-judgments, or disturbing mental images. Having these thoughts doesn’t mean they reflect who you are or what you want. Thoughts are automatic, not intentions. 💭
