🍂 Holiday Closing Notice

Macon Volunteer Clinic will close early for Thanksgiving at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, and will remain closed through Friday, November 28.

We will reopen with normal hours (9 AM–6:30 PM) on Monday, December 2.

We wish all of our patients, volunteers, and supporters a safe and happy Thanksgiving! 🧡

💉 Week 4 Giving Tuesday Spotlight: Specialty Lab Testing – $250

This week, we’re focusing on a critical part of patient care: specialty lab draws and testing. While our partnership with Labcorp provides many standard labs for free, some specialty tests aren’t covered — and the clinic pays for these vital diagnostics to ensure our patients don’t experience a lapse in care.

Your $250 gift can provide one patient with life-changing lab work, including full STI panels, active Hepatitis C screening, IGP cervical cancer tests, and more. These tests give our providers the information they need to deliver timely, accurate care.

Our patients are uninsured, actively working, and living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. With your support, we can give them access to critical diagnostics they might otherwise go without.

It takes more than skilled providers to give care — it takes pens, gloves, paper, bandages, and other essential supplies to make sure every patient gets the attention they deserve. $100 covers all the office supplies we need for one week, keeping our clinic running smoothly so that our providers can focus on patients instead of worrying about running out of the basics.

💊 Medications are lifelines

Many of our patients take essential medications to manage chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, or asthma — conditions that don’t wait for payday.

While many patients qualify for patient assistance programs and we receive some donated medications, many of our most commonly prescribed medicines must still be purchased by the clinic to ensure that every patient has access — completely free of charge.

$50 provides a 3-month supply of medication for one patient, helping them stay on track with their treatment and avoid complications that could lead to serious health issues.

For our patients, who are uninsured but actively working and living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, these medications are often out of reach. This Giving Tuesday, you can be the reason a patient stays healthy, productive, and able to care for their family.
