Jim Young, founder of Amputee Prosthetic Clinic, is a Certified Prosthetist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, a member of the AAOP Lower Limb Society, and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. Young also heads the South Georgia Amputee Support Group which meets at Amputee Prosthetic Clinic the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Young's services will include the custom fitting and manufacturing of prosthetic limbs. Our immediate service area includes Southeast and Central Georgia. We have also serviced patients all over the Southeast region. We have seen patients from Spain and visitors from Canada and have plans to go on mission trips to Central and South America.

At The Georgia State Capital yesterday morning advocating for the limb loss/ limb difference community. So Everyone Can Move initiative has bipartisan support in the GA House and Senate. These bills have more teeth to help the prosthetic users in our State to live more well rounded multidimensional existence, with the opportunity to maximize their potential.

It is with such a heavy heart that I share with you that our dear beloved Reba has passed away! We truly loved this woman. She was always such a loving kind soul with the biggest smile and a heart of gold. We will cherish all of the wonderful memories we have from working with her and her friendship. I will also remember Reba cheering for the purple pirate🤣 Please keep Reba’s family in your prayers! She was the heart and soul of that family that she loved dearly.

My team is awesome! Cast and measured two bilateral lower extremity patients at 9 am, both happy, delivered, and heading home by 2:45pm. I am proud of them. This is NOT out of the ordinary, they do this consistently, I just felt the need to give CHason and JW props.
