This year, we celebrate 100 years of by honoring the legacy of Black physicians who expanded access to care across Georgia—like Dr. Eliza Ann Grier, the first Black woman licensed to practice medicine in Georgia,
and Dr. John Henry Jordan, who opened the first hospital for Black residents in Coweta County.​ Their courage paved the way, and their impact continues.
