Atrium Health Navicent Weight Management provides surgical management of overweight individuals and helps them in their weight loss journey!

We are MBSAQIP Accredited. Atrium Health Navicent Weight Management is a comprehensive center which provides surgical and nonsurgical treatment for obesity. Our goal is to be your partner in your weight loss journey and provide treatment and support along the way. Whether you choose surgical or nonsurgical options, we want to offer caring, supportive guidance for your weight loss journey.

2 surgical options are offered at Atrium Health Navicent Weight Management: Sleeve Gastrectomy, & Gastric Bypass. These are all done laparoscopically, but may be done open if needed. Dr. Vaughn earned his Undergraduate degree at The University of Georgia in Biology. He then attended and graduated from Mercer University Medical School. His residency in General Surgery was completed over a 5 year period at The Medical Center Atrium Health Navicent, right here in Macon, Georgia. He then moved to Kansas City, Missouri and completed a fellowship in Laparoscopic surgery, focusing on Bariatric Surgery. Being from Georgia, he chose to return home to practice in Bariatrics and is excited to provide this specialized service near his home. He continues to practice General Surgery as well.
