Hospice Care Options

Hospice Care Options We provide compassionate care to the terminally ill patient, allowing death with peace and dignity.

“Service to our neighbors in need”

Those simple few words uttered by Georgia pharmacist, Freddie Dwozan, has been the guiding credo of the organization since the start of the original hospice agency in 1997. Each of our team members holds our founding theme of service to others above self as the most fundamental principal in their daily activities. Our focus is to help our patients and families during this difficult time with the talents and skills we possess. We place all our efforts
here in the Georgia communities in which we each live and work, to serve our neighbors and fellow Georgians. We humbly respect the stewardship responsibility we have in this endeavor. Many hospice agencies exist, but Hospice Care Options is unique. It is one of a handful of family owned agencies in the state. All decisions are made locally at the agency level, not in a corporate office in another state. The company operates in 41 Georgia counties with agencies located in Eastman, Macon, Warner Robins, Milledgeville, and Ocilla. They have a large reach, with the most caring and skillful staff found anywhere. Hospice Care Options is your best choice to provide care and comfort when faced with a life limiting illness.

Bags for Brenda Sissel honor not only a remarkable woman but also all the families our hospice team has cared for and will continue to serve. The Bags from Brenda Knight, our volunteer, are given in memory of Brenda Sissel, the beloved wife of Joe Sissel. Joe and his family are deeply grateful for the love they shared with Brenda. It is their wish, along with Hospice Care Options Foundation and Black Springs Baptist Church WMU, to honor her memory. Special thanks go to Volunteer Brenda Knight for helping to distribute Bags from Brenda to hospice patients in memory of Brenda Sissel. We also extend gratitude to Joe Sissel and Haley Sissel for their dedicated service and years of volunteering with Hospice Care Options.

For Tamesha Bryant, hospice care is more than a career; it’s a calling passed down from her mother, who also served as a hospice nurse.

Following in her footsteps, Tamesha brings compassion, strength, and a deep sense of purpose to the patients and families she cares for.

Her love for her work shines in every visit, every conversation, and every act of kindness. We’re honored to have Tamesha as part of the Hospice Care Options family.

Watch her story and see what inspires her to serve with heart.

Some of our hospice team had the privilege of attending the annual Georgia Hospice and Palliative Care Organization Conference in beautiful Athens, and it was truly a meaningful experience.

Spending time alongside other hospice and palliative care professionals who share the same mission reminded us why this work is so special. It’s inspiring to be part of a community so deeply committed to providing comfort, dignity, and compassionate care to patients and their families.

We left feeling refreshed, motivated, and proud to represent our organization. We’re excited to bring back new ideas, renewed energy, and continued dedication to the families we have the honor to serve every day. 💛
