We are SO happy Tito is home! Special thanks to all the volunteers who put in countless hours to get this special guy home to his family🐾
EVERYBODY SIT DOWN FOR THIS!
Guess who is back with his furmama?!
Meet Tito, who is heading back home after 12 days on the run!
A few hours ago, the owner got a call that he was seen behind Macungie Ambulance. Makes sense as that is connected to the Buckeye tank farm where he was seen last night.
So, I met owner there, set two traps and doused them in liquid smoke and sardines (delicious!) Another resident (thanks, Mike) near by set up more game cams in that area behind the station. Owner had trap set by tank farm as well.
As soon as we left, he was seen on camera circling owner's big trap by tank farm. He was a bit too small for that one to trigger, so we were going to move my smaller one there.
Meanwhile, another family member brought his litter mate to the area. Tito is very protective of her. He saw her from a bit away and started heading toward her. Timing was on point and he was getting hungry. He decided he didn't want to be feral anymore and he surrendered!
He is unscathed and clearly remorseful (ha!).
On behalf of his family from MA, thank you all so much for your help! Buckeye pipeline folks were amazing, Macungie ambulance for letting us tromp around there, Kalmbach park resident who let us do the same last week, Mighty Pawz, Macungie and Alburtis police depts, every business that posted flyers, Ted our drone expert, and all of you who shared his post. Feel free to take flyers down as you see them.
Enjoy this adorable pic!
