Honored to be recognized on court at the Fresno State Men’s Basketball game on Valentine’s Day 💜🏀

Our Epilepsy Support Program families enjoyed a special night of connection, community, and fun. Moments like these remind us that support goes beyond the hospital — it lives in the friendships, laughter, and shared experiences we create together.

Thank you to for helping us raise awareness and celebrate the families we serve.

Not every seizure is a medical emergency, but every seizure deserves the right response. A Seizure Action Plan clearly outlines when to call 911 and when supportive care is enough. That clarity helps reduce panic and keeps the person having a seizure safer.

Learn more at seizureactionplans.org and share this post to reduce confusion.

A Seizure Action Plan is a written, personalized guide that explains what others should do before, during, and after a seizure. During a seizure, a person may not be able to speak or communicate. The plan removes guesswork and helps family members, friends, coworkers, teachers, and caregivers respond calmly and correctly.

Learn more, download a plan, and visit seizureactionplans.org. Please share this post to help others prepare.

This is Kea 💜 Diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy as a child, she faced years of testing, medication challenges, and uncertainty about her future. With the support of family and doctors, Kea pushed forward — graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA, undergoing successful epilepsy surgery at Valley Children’s Hospital, and building a life she once was told might not be possible.
Today, Kea works in healthcare supporting children and adults with disabilities, holds a driver’s license, and returns each year to Valley Children’s Hospital to encourage kids living with epilepsy.
Her message: never give up on your dreams — medicine and possibilities keep advancing.

Noah had his first seizure in 6th grade, just one week before COVID changed everything. Diagnosed in March 2020, he and his family faced uncertainty — but Noah kept moving forward.
With support from his school, he continued water polo and swimming, becoming an advocate for students with epilepsy. In 2022, focal seizures sidelined him from the pool, but he stayed connected by supporting his team.
In high school, Noah found a new passion in E-Sports and a strong circle of friends who support his journey. He’s traveled to Mexico, Italy, and Japan — and refuses to let epilepsy limit his future adventures.
After trying multiple medications, Noah is now 4 months seizure-free 💜
He continues to advocate so other kids with epilepsy know they can find joy and belonging too.
