I had the absolute pleasure of being on local TV 4 yesterday for a segment on weight management. The opportunity to provide education about the chronic disease that is obesity helped me to reach many more people than I normally could in a day.

I traveled to Guatemala recently as part of a mission trip designed to provide surgical services for people who lack access to care. It was a week full of gallbladders, hernias, and even some pediatric. We had such a great team this year. It was an extremely fulfilling experience and country is beautiful. I am excited to return next year.

Destiny had a robotic sleeve with us in 2023. She has lost 119 lbs. She is so happy with her results and how she feels. She also wanted to shout out for his great care.

Endoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (ESG) is a non-surgical procedure for weight-loss performed entirely through the mouth. Using an endoscope, your doctor can reshape your stomach to make it smaller, similar to sleeve surgery. This is a good alternative to surgery for some patients. Patients can lose 15-20% of their total body weight, on average.

Xavier is a little over 1 year post RYGB and has lost close to 150 lbs! But even better than that number is hearing how great he is feeling after surgery :)
