The Psoas is a muscle most people aren't familiar with. This is your main hip flexor muscle and it attaches directly to your lumbar spine. So when it gets tight, it will create lower back pain. After ten years of working for other people as a massage therapist, I've finally taken the leap and have started my own private practice on the West Side of Madison.

My massage practice focuses on alleviating chronic pain as well as injury rehabilitation. By targeting the areas that are creating the pain and not simply working the areas where the person is experiencing the pain, daily discomfort can be relieved quickly. Very rarely is the discomfort we feel actually caused by tight muscles in the area of discomfort.

With certification in Neuromuscular massage, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, as well as Lymphatic Drainage, my style incorporates all of the most effective techniques from each modality and combines them together to create my own signature massage.

Meet your massage therapist!

Rick is a Licensed Massage Therapist who graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts in 2016. By completing their 2 year 1,100 hour program with specialized training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, and Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Rick is able to custom tailor each massage to the person’s needs. Sessions can range from focusing on one specific problem area for the duration of the session to a full body relaxation massage while still dedicating extra time to the areas that may feel painful. With a background in sports massage and myofascial release, Rick is able to undo lower back pain, shoulder stiffnes, and neck tension quickly and efficiently with minimal discomfort.
