Frequent sauna goer turned friend, planted birch trees, cared for them and watched them grow, pruned them, and made 11 birch whisks for our sauna sessions .
Sauna goers swept and patted their warm skin with the birch improving circulation, encouraging exfoliation, heightening the sensory experience of the sauna and 🤞 having a little fun!
The whisks have been carefully hung to dry until they will be reused (and hopefully reused again) at future sessions.
Have you used sauna whisks before? Do you have a good sauna story to tell about it? Are you curious about the culture/history behind this practice?
Hope to see you at the sauna soon 🍃
