Today, the Southeastern Region of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. pauses to recognize the National Day of Rest for Black Women on March 10.
Black women are often the backbone of our families, communities, and organizations—leaders, caregivers, professionals, volunteers, and change-makers. Today serves as a powerful reminder that rest is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
Taking time to restore your mind, body, and spirit is an act of self-care and self-preservation.
To our phenomenal Jack and Jill mothers across the Southeastern Region, we encourage you to take a moment today to breathe deeply, unplug, and prioritize your well-being. Whether it’s quiet reflection, prayer, a walk, a nap, or simply a moment of peace—give yourself permission to rest.
When Black women rest, we renew our strength to continue nurturing our families, leading with excellence, and uplifting our communities.
Today, we honor rest, restoration, and resilience.
