Happy New Year! We can't wait to serve the community and see all the places we will go in 2024. We have some fun things planned, including birth doula services and getting more people involved in birthwork. You don't want to miss all of the fun this year.

We’re praising the Lord for a year full of blessings at Hattiesburg Midwifery! 🩷

We had the great privilege of serving 17 families during their labor & deliveries.
•10 baby boys and 7 baby girls.
•5 of those were first births.
•2 were Home Births after a previous cesarean.
•10 babies were born in the water.
•6 babies were lost to miscarriage.
•1 family transferred to the hospital in labor for augmentation and pain relief after prolonged rupture of membranes. A very healthy baby was born vaginally within an hour of arriving at Forrest General, with only a hint of IV pain relief required.
•1 baby needed to be transferred to the hospital after delivery for an arrhythmia/irregular heart beat. She was observed for 2 nights in hospital and was discharged with a clean bill of health.
•Zero cesarean deliveries were required.
•Earliest delivery: 37 weeks + 3 days
•Latest delivery: 42 weeks
•Smallest baby: 6lbs 6oz
•Biggest baby: 10lbs 2oz

At Hattiesburg Midwifery, we only accept around 2 clients due per month so that we can give our clients the most personalized, family-centered care. We also took 3 months off call in 2023 so that our team could recharge and spend precious, uninterrupted time with their families. We hope to continue a healthy, sustainable, thriving Midwifery Practice for years to come!

We can't believe its almost Christmas. We're seeing many of our moms deliver and can't believe that we've served so many families this year since we started enrollment in February. If you or someone you know is interested in a doula don't hesitate to find out how you can today.

Our hearts are still full from our RECLAIM: Birth worker's Conference & because the fun is not over there is still opportunities for those interested to get involved in the birth workers world by attending our Doula Interest Meeting on December 16th from 9am - 11am.
