This Free Flow Yoga Class that is available to the community. This class will be taught be a yoga teacher trainee (not by a regular teacher listed). For this reason, we do not recommend this class for beginners. While our teachers-in-training are getting excellent education, they are also learning and new to the process.

Sign up for this Evening Restorative Yoga class on the Studio Schedule. Tuesdays 7:45PM. Drop ins welcome; space permitting. $45 Intro Membership available for new members.

Contrary to a hard-charging asana practice that can be overstimulating and depleting if done at the wrong time, a restorative yoga practice is soothing, comforting, relaxing, and renewing. It is excellent for reducing chronic stress, anxiety and exhaustion. Restorative poses can be practiced when you are feeling less than your best, feeling weak, tired, or frazzled.

Rest. Reset. Renew.

This practice can help you tune into the things that you’re missing day to day and tune into the elements that help you see others, discover relational blind spots, be seen by others, connect, create intimacy, and discover things about yourself that you might not have found in 20 years sitting on a meditation cushion alone. In the end, circling is exploring your true nature and the true nature of others.

Circling is an applied meditation where you get to explore the depths of connection with others. We will sit in a circle and instead of just chatting, everyone is encouraged tune in to each other's thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As an experiment in deep listening and genuine connection, Circling is a practice of tuning into the intersubjective space of the group’s collective interior experience just as you practice tuning into your individual interior experience during a standard meditation. For this reason, Circling is often called an Intersubjective Meditation.

Because of this layered dynamic, every circling event will have a solo meditation section. This is necessary due to the complex and layered nature of the practice. This is also why we highly recommend (if not require) that you attend one to three Beginner Circles before attending a Circling Lab (and attend multiple of those before a more advanced Circle).
