All I have to say is a "Christian Organization" just laid off 1,400 people who live in our community. And the city wants to bring in refugees with our housing issues, homeless population and now healthcare restraints? And the Organization for these refugees advertises themselves as "Christian"(ie tax shelter). I give up. There is no common sense in anyone anymore. Idealism is not reality, it's called a goal. And shoving agendas down anyone's throat when, quite frankly, there's nowhere for our own residents to softly land. City of EC you are out of touch and you're asking YOUR CONSTIUENTS to give what they don't have, it's not ok. I'm so disappointed with this city and state lately

Eau Claire City Council votes unanimously on a resolution to support a controversial refugee resettlement program looking to bring 75 refugees to the city.

I had the opportunity to interview with Newsweek a while back along with several other travel nurses. This is a good read for the public to understand where your tax dollars are going, how our healthcare system is broken, for profit is NOT the way to go about healthcare, and nurses are an integral and VERY IMPORTANT part of a healthcare team. We deserve to be compensated accordingly. I'm tired of a being a pawn and exploited for profits when I'm the one lifting, rescusitating, saving, and helping patients. Not some recruiter, not some manager, me.

Ms. Rodriguez supported us throughout our march. Please see her platform and view her candidacy talking points for her campaign. In no way am I swaying anyone to vote one way or another, but she is a candidate that holds value for our future and listened to us in Madison

This has been such an exciting week, and we are just getting started! We won our Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor, and I want to thank everyone who came out and voted! This is just the beginning – I’m going to fight for you and do the right thing for Wisconsin. I’ve spent the last few days with Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul in Madison, Stevens Point, Appleton, Milwaukee, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Somerset, Superior, Rhinelander, and Wausau talking to Wisconsinites about the issues that matter to them. Folks are fired up and ready to elect Dems up and down the ballot.

Thank you to everyone for their support, trust, and vote. Now let's get to work and make a difference together.

I'm proud to be leading in the lawsuit for fair pay for not only travel nurses, but ALL nurses!!! We must FIGHT!

Three nurses have filed a lawsuit alleging that staffing company Maxim Healthcare Services defrauded them through a "take-it-or-leave-it" strategy that forced them to accept less pay or lose their jobs, Law360 reported Aug. 1.

So rather than pay decent wages, we are going to fast track educations? What could go wrong??? Hospitals need to be held accountable for the root reason they can't keep tenured, GOOD nurses.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIU) and Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) want to get more nurses into the healthcare field.
