It's time again for Ulla Eyewear's Pet of the Week!

Meet Strawberry Shortcake, a dog as sweet as her name! This gentle girl has a loving personality that comes through once she feels comfortable. She loves a good mix of playtime with her favorite toys and curling up on soft blankets for a cozy nap, plus she’s always ready for a tasty treat. She can be a little nervous at first, so she is looking for a calm home without small children or other dogs and an adopter who can give her the time and patience she needs to settle in. Strawberry shortcake is more than ready to leave shelter life behind and find a loving home to relax in. What do all of these frames have in common?
They’re doing good for the planet… and looking very good doing it. ♻️

Fun fact: Cat-eye frames were designed by Altina Schinasi in the 1930s, though their popularity really soared in the 50s and 60s. Originally the style was called "Harlequin," as Altina was inspired by the romantic and whimsical harlequin masks worn at ballroom dances at the time!

Meet Simba, this week’s Pet of the Week from Dane County Humane Society!
He may be named after a lion, but Simba is much more of a “gentle goofball” than king of the jungle. At just over a year old, this American Bully has a ton of love to give, and once he feels comfortable, he’ll happily show it off with his signature play bow and the cutest little b***y wiggle.

Simba can be a bit shy when meeting new people and is looking for someone patient who can help him build confidence and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. He does best in a home with teenagers or older, and he’ll need slow, thoughtful introductions to men and other animals. His foster family promises it’s worth it. Once Simba knows you, he’s a loyal, affectionate companion who really comes out of his shell.

Simba is currently staying in a foster home, so you won’t see him on the adoption floor. If you’re interested in meeting him or learning more, give ’s Adoption Center a call at (608) 838-0413 ext. 145 to set up a meet and greet.

Trust us, this shy guy is ready to wiggle his way right into your heart.

Amy has a gift for making frame shopping feel easy, fun, and confidence-boosting. She’s a latte-with-the-seasonal-flavor kind of girl, reads 30–50 books a year, and loves cooking (and finding at least one standout fine-dining spot when she travels).

If she were a frame, she'd be a Theo Shape. Clean, defined lines with just the right amount of quirky, in unexpected colorways that work on so many people!
