🌷THURSDAY, MAY 14th 🌷

Join us for a very special Birth Circle where we will celebrate mothers. Mothers awaiting their babies, mothers who have lost babies, mothers with children, mothers who have raised their children, those who have stepped into the mothering role for others. 💐

We will provide snacks, have space for making affirmation cards, share stories, and enjoy time together. We have several surprises in store as well. 🌹

I had originally planned to take the second half of the year off for study, but things have shifted and just like birth, I'm going with the flow 😊

Thank you for grabbing those BPs, hitting those veins on the first try, inflating birth pools, helping to clean up after births, offering labor support, making sure I’m always fed, swapping the laundry, and keeping up with all of the birth supplies. I hope your day and year are amazing! 🎉

🩺 Want to become a midwife? Is 2026 your year to take the next step? 🤰

📚 We would like to add a student midwife to our practice, starting immediately.

Ideally, candidates would meet the following requirements:

• PEP student
• Phase 2 or experienced doula (10+ births)
• lives within 40 mins of the birth center
• self starter
• loves learning
• has a fantastic sense of humor

Additionally, we would like a student with a thorough understanding of the PEP process, the steps required, and has a solid plan for didactic education.

Our practice is located in a rural area and serves clients within an hour radius. We are not a high volume practice, but stay busy. We enjoy hosting community events, offering classes, and networking with others. You will have opportunities to not just learn hands on midwifery skills, but also how to run a practice. You will either need to reside nearby or be willing to move to the area. This is not a position for a long distance commuter. Housing is NOT provided, nor is transportation (though we do carpool at times).

🌸 WELCOME LEAH 🌸

💗 We are excited to share another inspiring birth story of first time parents. Like many other first time moms, labor started slow and sporadically. Contractions came and went, but were short and inconsistent. After 2 nights of broken sleep, things began to pick up.

☀️ At just after 3pm they arrived at the birth center. Soon active labor was well under way. Dad supported mom while she listened to her body and changed positions as needed. Music played in the background and her mother joined as support. This mom moved so intuitively through labor and soon her body began pushing.

🛁 She quickly moved to the birth pool and continued following her body’s cues. A dark haired baby girl was welcomed in the evening hours.

We look forward to watching this beautiful girl grow! 🌸

This comprehensive course is taught by 2 licensed VA midwives, each bringing decades of birth experience and scenarios. Workshop is held in a local, working birth center.
