Hello Everybody!
It’s been a big opening year for me at my private office, despite the risks, restrictions, and general difficulties of our current times.
Beginning early September, I will be furthering my education in Maine with the one-and-only Tom Myers, to become certified by his Anatomy Trains Structural Integration program.
Tom has been on the forefront of fascial research for a long time, and I’m really excited to be instructed by him. Okay, I’m beyond excited, so much to the point that I’d already gotten sick of being excited last month, and am now licking ceiling fans.
No not really. But seriously, reading Anatomy Trains completely changed my understanding of the body, and has brought many gifts to my clinical practice, which I’ve shared with my clients.
I’m kinda nervous, as I’ve been told that this program is highly challenging, very involved, and not “spoon-fed” by any means. At the same time, I’m anxious for a change of scenery, and a break from my 6-day work weeks, as my last “vacation” was that which started in mid-March, 2020 for 2.5 months during the shutdown. I kinda thought I’d be able to work straight through to the next decade after a break like that, but then I hit my savings goals for Anatomy Trains in January of 2021, started my business 3 months later so I could write off my tuition, and now I see 32 people a week. So yeah, I’m ready for a change, a challenge, and ready to bring some sparks back into my clinical practice.
Wish me luck! Full schedule of my training, and other information is provided in the link below.
