Thank you to all of you for supporting my small business in the last year! A like, comment, follow or purchase has inspired me to keep on going into 2021 and beyond.

Happy New Year! Eat your dumplings (wealth), long noodles (long life), black eyed peas and mimosas today.

My beautiful daughter thanks you too because every purchase allows her to help her Mommy prep your order, and spend so much time with me. This business is only possible with the support and bread-winning of my Pitta Kapha Tom Kutz.

Just a reminder to give me an email, text, or call if you are Ayurveda curious or need to restock your dosha tea, digestive tea, rosewater eyedrops, body massage oils, nasal oils, chyvanprash immune jam, or anything else your heart desires to stay healthy and happy in 2021.

In addition to working on ourselves for our own healing, in Yoga and Ayurveda, we need to look outward and support social justice. If you enjoy your gold milk, your curry spices or any other aspect of Ayurveda, honor the country of origin and the people growing your spices. I’m a little late to share this news, and just in case anyone missed it, please check out the article. Here’s a short excerpt:

“On Dec 9, 2020, Indian farmers (turmeric) rejected the government's proposed amendments, according to an Indian farmers union.

Darshan Pal, President of the Krantikari Kisan Union, a farmer's union said protests will intensify...

Organizations like Khalsa Aid, an international humanitarian relief group, has a team on the ground working with protest organizers.

Sahaita, a volunteer-based humanitarian non-profit, is collecting monetary donations to help families affected.

And cultural clothing brands, like Reignfull and ZHK Designs, are donating profits from their merchandise and art to organizations focused on rendering aid.”

The farmers of India have reached a stalemate with the government over proposed amendments to laws the farmers feel will ravage their livelihoods and create an opportunity for large, private companies to enter and exploit the entire agriculture sector.

Brahmi, Triphala, Shatavari, Shilajit, and Ashwagandha have been around for centuries. Here’s how to best incorporate them into your wellness routine. Well over 5000 years ago, the ancient science of medicine—Ayurveda—was born, unveiling a well of profound lifestyle practices and tactics that ...

Many of you know my lovely colleague Ayurvedic Health Counselor Andrea Russell . She's leading a Summer RESET using Ayurveda to bring balance and introducing many cleansing practices. Check out her post for more info. I highly recommend registering before July 15 which is the evening of her first call. The RESET runs July 20-24. -Sarah

Every thing can be a medicine, poison, or neutral depending on person, place, and time. ⠀

This Ayurvedic proverb helps us understand why one person feels great eating something while the very same thing upsets the digestion of another (no, I will not be making all the kohlrabi recipes showing up in my inbox right now).⠀

Everyone is unique. Have you noticed there may be something that feels nourishing in the winter yet that very thing creates an imbalance in the summer? I can eat copious amounts of ginger and chocolate in the winter though come the warmer season, I personally have to avoid them as they now overheat me leading to inflammation, skin issues, and irritability. ⠀

If we want to cultivate health in body and mind, it serves us to know what is medicine and what is poison for our individual constitution. ⠀

Ayurveda offers tools to know the truth of you. It is a path to deeper self-understanding so you know how to take better care of you through the changing seasons of year and the seasons of your life. ⠀

Do you want to learn more?⠀

Join me for the Summer RESET program. I will be teaching you all the ways to adjust your diet, self-care, and yoga practice to help you stay healthy and happy. ⠀
