Senate Democrats & Republicans (& the White House) have struck a deal to pass 5 spending bills to fund a large portion of the government for the remainder of the fiscal year, and a stopgap measure to fund the Department of Homeland Security for 2 weeks. It is unclear how quickly the House can or will process the bills after the Senate before the shutdown deadline of midnight Jan. 30.
