Grateful for the opportunity to spend time with Dr. Dennis Hammond in his practice in Grand Rapids as part of the Mentor Surgical Mastery Program. There’s something powerful about standing in the operating room with a surgeon whose work has shaped the field. His wisdom, steady confidence, and decades of insight reminded me that true excellence is built one intentional decision at a time.

What I appreciated most was the collegiality — surgeons sharpening surgeons, conversations that push you to think deeper, and the kind of mentorship that elevates your craft and your character. I left encouraged, challenged, and better equipped to serve my patients here at home.

This visit also reaffirmed why I’m proud to offer subfascial (over-the-muscle) breast augmentation in my practice. This technique provides a beautiful balance:

• Faster recovery for many patients
• Less animation deformity compared to submuscular placement
• A strong layer of support from the fascia for long-term shape

This post is very overdue, but I wanted to share a quick spotlight about Dr. Tony Weaver Plastic Surgery 💉 Back in August 2024, he performed a quick procedure for our daughter to repair her earlobes that had ripped from her earrings (one of them ripped twice!) We knew we needed to strengthen her earlobes, so Dr. Weaver, the only plastic surgeon I called, was the one I chose.

He felt confident that he could not only strengthen her earlobes but also leave them with minimal scarring (which seemed impossible to us).

He prayed with us before her procedure at Madison Hospital and did a flawless job.

11 months later, she got her ears pierced for the third time, and they are beautiful and have held up perfectly since July, all thanks to Dr. Weaver. She is thrilled, and as her mom, I am relieved.

Yes, he is known in town for being a trusted plastic surgeon for bigger procedures, but he also cares about the smaller things, too.

Like a little girl who just wants to wear earrings.💕
