According to the Tennessee Department of Health, as of June 2, 2021 only 33.5% of Tennessee’s eligible population are fully vaccinated. I encourage everyone to stay diligent in your efforts to be safe, wash your hands frequently, wear masks when in large gatherings or when asked to and keep a respectful distance socially. We are not out of the woods yet.

I encourage everyone to get your Covid-19 vaccine, when you are eligible. Remember, the vaccine is a Federal project, so you don't need to stay with your own county's health department. I know it's difficult, but please continue to social distance and wear your masks until enough people have been vaccinated, and we reach herd immunity. The timeline for herd immunity could be well into the fall or even into 2022. Stay informed with resources like the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the White House task force on Covid relief and local news sources.
