Did you know that the magnesium sulfate we use in our float pods will nourish and heal your skin? Most guests notice how soft it is, even without moisturizing after a float. Yet another reason to love floating!

Let's go on a quick tour, showing you the two types of float tanks we have and how they differ from one another: float rooms vs float pods.

When you wake up, your body has been without added water for at least 6-8 hours. Drinking a glass when you first wake up provides your body replacement fluids for all of the restorative work that took place while you were asleep. Did you know that it's estimated at 75% of us are chronically dehydrated?! Starting your day with a fresh glass of water is a step toward personally reversing that trend and giving your body what it needs to support you throughout the rest of your day.

We budget our money, but how often do we think about budgeting our energy? Thinking about how many things we give our attention to, we have to also factor in how we're replenishing that energy. If you use it all up, you feel depleted. So how do you start saving that energy?

One way is to come see us. We offer "active rest" to give your body the true rest it needs.

Floating is a powerful treat for your brain. Within a few minutes, most individuals will move from beta into alpha waves, feeling relaxed and at ease.

Those who remain still and allow themselves to rest will then move into theta waves, existing in that ethereal space between wakefulness and sleep.

And recent studies have shown that some individuals even reach delta waves when floating - but while they're still conscious! That's a pretty remarkable state of mind!

If this picture looks like you -- we get it. Many of us find ourselves hunched over computers, screens, or equipment, whether at home or at work. Give your spine a break!

When you're floating, it's not exactly like outer space where there's no gravity, but with the density of the epsom salt, you'll experience a "weightless" feeling, giving your body a chance to BE without the strains of gravity pushing down on you. This can relieve tension from the rigid body positions that often cause back pain!

This exciting project has been fun to watch over the past couple of years. It will be bringing float therapy to an entire community affected by the Lahaina Fires. So proud to be a supporter of this cause! Congratulations, Project Maui Calm and everyone involved!

Veggies for breakfast? Yes please! 🙋‍♂️

Studies have shown that healthful eating isn't just about what you eat, it's also about when you eat it. Carbohydrates are a staple at breakfast, but did you know you can help slow down the glycemic impact of the toast, pancakes, or waffles you eat simply by starting your meal with vegetables first? 🥦

Vegetables add fiber to your meal, and when consumed early in the meal prior to eating a higher carbohydrate dish, they can slow down the rise of available glucose in your bloodstream leaving you feeling satisfied longer, and preventing the up and down rollercoaster of that insulin spike that leaves you feeling lethargic by mid-morning. 😩

Has it been a while since you had some time just for you? Maybe it's time.

Wise words from some wise folks.

Too often, we wait for something outside of us to solve our problems. We're waiting for someone to step in and make us feel better, or some outside force to suddenly cure our ailments. But, it really starts with us. With you. With me. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and luckily your cup can be filled a million times over.

If you're not feeling like yourself lately, you might just need some time dedicated to peaceful solitude to go inwards and re-find the fountain of your vitality and strength.
Coincidentally, we know just the place to make that happen....😌

We'll see you soon.

Our Story

Greg has been involved in the health and wellness industry since 2007. While in school for nutrition, working in the wellness department of his community grocery co-op and learning everything he could about being as self-sufficient as possible on farm he was renting, his stress levels were becoming difficult to manage. He discovered float therapy back in 2011, and after hearing about the physical and mental benefits, he had to give it a try. He drove down to what was then the closest float center in the area, a place in Chicago that has offered floating since the early 1980's. That first float changed everything. It was like a complete physical and mental reset. For the next 3 years he made the 5 hour round-trip every few months to float for that reset of body and mind. Eventually, he grew tired of trying to convince friends to open up a place in Madison, and he decided that he would be the one to provide the revolutionary tool to his community.
