Direct support professionals (DSPs) are people who work directly with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities with the aim of assisting them to integrate within their communities. Also to provide direct services and support to the individual, including, but not limited to: assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, meal preparation and completion of various household tasks; supervising, teaching, and assisting the individual in every aspect of their life.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available with every other weekend.

What are the duties of a Direct Support Professional?

Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.

As a DSP you will promote a caring and kind environment for individuals to grow toward independence. You will be their advocate and build a relationship with your team and your individuals.
Being a DSP requires a kind a caring heart dedicated to making a difference.

Broadfield Care Center is an Intermediate Care Facility. We care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our clients range from young ages in their 20s to above. Broadfield provides active treatment to assist our individuals with learning new skills and driving them to their highest peak of independence.
