What a holly jolly Christmas party we had last Friday! Our residents enjoyed an afternoon full of surprises, entertainment, and festive fun.

The celebration began with a beautiful performance by the talented Janet Essenpries, who sang classic Christmas carols that filled the room with holiday spirit. Next up were photos with Santa — and this Santa was extra special! One of our own independent living residents, Jim, suited up to spread cheer, and we couldn't have asked for a better man for the job. 🎅❤️

The fun continued as everyone’s favorite guest, Elvis, took the stage — joined by a surprise appearance from "The Grinch's sister", making the performance even more entertaining and full of laughs!

A magical afternoon and a wonderful way to celebrate the season together.🎄🎶💚

❄️☃️ Snowball fun without the cold!
Our residents and staff shared so many smiles during a fun indoor “snowball fight.” Members of our therapy team, life enrichment team, our Chief Engineer, and even the grandson of one of our nurses jumped in alongside residents for this laughter-filled activity. With baskets strapped to our heads, we tossed soft “snowballs,” cheered each other on, and turned a simple game into a warm, friendly moment of connection.

As one of our favorite reminders goes: “You’re never too old, and never too busy, to make time for fun.” 💙
Days like this prove that joy has no age limit—and that it truly takes a village to create meaningful memories. ❄️😊

Our annual Christmas outing was a big hit! 🎄✨
Residents enjoyed the beautiful drive-thru light display at Lights Under Louisville, followed by a cozy lunch at Cracker Barrel. A perfect day filled with holiday magic and great memories!

🎄✨ Artisan Club Holiday Creations! ✨🎄

Our residents have been getting into the Christmas spirit with fun and festive crafting sessions! This week, they created beautiful handmade ornaments using colorful sand art, Scrabble-letter designs, and adorable snow globes filled with tiny snowmen families.

Their creativity and smiles lit up the whole room — and their finished pieces are absolutely charming! ❤️

We love seeing everyone’s holiday spirit shine through these wonderful keepsakes. 🎁✨

🎄✨ The Christmas Cheer Has Officially Arrived! ✨🎄

Our residents have been getting into the holiday spirit with a whimsical Christmas photo shoot — and the results are simply adorable! From cozy winter hats and colorful scarves to sparkling tinsel garland "boas", festive sweaters & Santa hats, everyone brought their own touch of Christmas magic to the camera.

The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of holiday sparkle… and yes, even our Executive Director along with our Director & Assistant Director of Food Services joined in the fun!

Yesterday our Cooking Club residents gathered for our annual Friendsgiving Feast, and it was truly something special! 🧡✨
The tables were beautifully decorated with the stunning floral centerpieces residents created in Artisan’s Club earlier this week, making the room feel extra festive. 🌸🍂

We also enjoyed the delicious pies they baked during last week’s Cooking Club—every bite tasted like love and teamwork. 🥧🤎 Before sharing the meal, one of our residents offered a heartfelt Grace, setting a warm and grateful tone for the afternoon.

We’re so thankful for the laughter, friendship, and quality time spent with our beautiful community. These moments are what make our home feel like family. 🧡🙏🍽️

🥧 Pie Prep in Full Swing! 🥧

Our amazing Cooking Club members have been busy in the kitchen getting ready for our upcoming Friendsgiving Feast! 🍂✨

The air was filled with the sweet smell of cherry, blueberry, and apple as we lovingly prepped the pies.

We can’t wait to share these delicious homemade treats with everyone this Friendsgiving. 🥰

🎨❄️ Artisan’s Club: Winter Inspiration! ❄️🎨

Our talented Artisan’s Club members gathered once again for their third monthly painting class with our talented Life Enrichment Assistant, Korri! This month’s theme was inspired by the cozy charm of the upcoming winter season — complete with happy, smiling snowmen to bring a little joy and warmth to these chilly days. ☃️💙

It’s always amazing to see everyone’s creativity shine through and to watch these beautiful works of art come to life. Great job, everyone — we can’t wait to see what you create next month!

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Ceremony 🇺🇸

Last Tuesday we were honored to celebrate 14 of our residents who proudly served our country — with 7 of them present for our special Veterans Day ceremony.

We were joined by two wonderful guest speakers who presented each veteran with certificates, commemorative pins, and challenge coins in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

A “Missing Man” table was also set up in solemn remembrance of all who gave their lives in service to our nation — a poignant reminder of the cost of our freedom.

The ceremony was followed by a heartfelt reception where we shared stories, memories, and deep gratitude for those who have served.

Thank you to all our veterans — we honor you today and every day. ❤️🤍💙

🎃 Halloween Fun at Happy Hour! 👻

Last Friday, we celebrated Halloween in style with a festive Happy Hour Costume Party! Staff and residents showed off their creative costumes while enjoying delicious snacks and our specialty apple cider drink. 🍎✨

Throughout the week, everyone joined in the fun by guessing how many candy corns were in the glass pumpkin jar — and the winner with the closest guess was Marlene! 🎉 Congratulations, Marlene!

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this spooky season so much fun. We can’t wait for next year’s celebration! 🧡🕸️

🎃👻 Spooky Fun at Our Family Trick-or-Treat Night! 👻🎃

Our community was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of candy as residents and staff came together for a magical evening of trick-or-treating! 🕸️✨

Staff and residents’ children showed off their creative costumes, while our residents had so much fun handing out treats and enjoying the festive spirit. The joy on everyone’s faces truly made the night unforgettable! 💕🍬

A big thank-you to everyone who joined in to make this such a special event — our community spirit shines brightest when we celebrate together! 🧡🎃
