🎃 Halloween Fun at Happy Hour! 👻

Last Friday, we celebrated Halloween in style with a festive Happy Hour Costume Party! Staff and residents showed off their creative costumes while enjoying delicious snacks and our specialty apple cider drink. 🍎✨

Throughout the week, everyone joined in the fun by guessing how many candy corns were in the glass pumpkin jar — and the winner with the closest guess was Marlene! 🎉 Congratulations, Marlene!

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this spooky season so much fun. We can’t wait for next year’s celebration! 🧡🕸️

🎃👻 Spooky Fun at Our Family Trick-or-Treat Night! 👻🎃

Our community was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of candy as residents and staff came together for a magical evening of trick-or-treating! 🕸️✨

Staff and residents’ children showed off their creative costumes, while our residents had so much fun handing out treats and enjoying the festive spirit. The joy on everyone’s faces truly made the night unforgettable! 💕🍬

🚢🌴 Captain’s Cruise Theme Dinner – A Night to Remember! 🌴🚢

Last Thursday, we set sail on our Captain’s Cruise to celebrate the end of an unforgettable Theme Week — and what a voyage it was! 🧭🌊

Residents, families, and staff came together for a night filled with laughter, tropical vibes, and community spirit. Everyone enjoyed a mouthwatering surf & turf dinner, followed by the most delectable desserts, all while grooving to beachy tunes that had us dreaming of island getaways. 🎶🍤🍰

Our guests looked fabulous in their captain’s hats and colorful leis, and the smiles were as bright as the décor! 😄💛

🎁 Each resident received a fun party gift — a pocket compass and some gummy sharks — perfect for remembering their cruise adventure.

And let’s not forget the inflatable fun... because who doesn’t want to hang out in a giant parrot float?! 🦜💃

Thank you to our amazing team and everyone who joined us for making it such a joyful evening. We can't wait to “cruise” into our next celebration!

We had a wonderful time at River Terrace yesterday hosting the Ladies for Liberty and welcoming guests from three other Trilogy campuses. As part of our Captains Dinner theme week, the day included a showing of Anything Goes, boat racing, a talented caricature artist and plenty of meaningful moments. It was a chance to come together, have fun, and enjoy the company of both new and familiar faces.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped bring this event to life! It’s always a joy to share these special experiences with our friends in our campus and others.

This week, we’re setting sail on a tropical adventure with our Captain's Ball Theme Week — and our Cooking Club made a sweet splash with our “Man Overboard” pudding cups! ⚓️

These delicious, ocean-inspired treats were as fun to make as they were to eat! Our residents got creative decorating their cups with blue cheese cake pudding "waves," life saver "rafts," and Teddy Graham "swimmers" — laughter and smiles all around!

Our Artisan Club members set sail on creativity this week by making nautical lifesaver doorhangers as part of our Captain’s Cruise Theme Week! 🎨🛟

With brushes in hand and smiles on deck, everyone created their own personalized “lifesaver” rings — though we’ll admit, a few of us got a little nauti with our messages. 😉 (Looking at you, “GO AWAY” crew member! 😂)

Whether welcoming new friends or making bold statements, these doorhangers are as full of personality as the amazing folks who made them.

🚢 Captain's Dinner Cruise – All Aboard! ⚓️
Our Independent Living residents set sail (well, cruised!) to beautiful Louisville for a scenic waterfront lunch at Captain’s Quarters — the perfect destination for our Captain’s Dinner Cruise theme! 🧭🌊

The view was stunning, the company was even better, and the delectable seafood made the whole experience truly unforgettable. 🦐🐟🍋 From laughter on the patio to moments of relaxation by the river, this outing was a breath of fresh air!

🌊🚢 Cruise Week Has Set Sail! 🏖️⚓️

Our residents officially kicked off Captains Ball Cruise Ship Theme Week with a splash! 🎉 First stop on our cruise: a hilarious round of Cruise Bingo — but instead of shouting "Bingo," everyone got into the spirit and yelled "Ahoy, Matey!" 🏴‍☠️

Then it was time to hit the (indoor) beach! 🏄‍♀️🌴 We had a blast at our Beach Party, playing a tropical twist on Would You Rather – Beach Style, soaking up the vibes with tunes from The Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffett, and even learning a brand new dance together! 💃🕺

The fun is just getting started – stay tuned for more high seas adventures all week long! 🚢💙

We had a wonderful time during our second painting class this week with our amazing Life Enrichment Associate! 🎨 Our residents enjoyed getting creative and expressing themselves through art. It's always heartwarming to see the smiles and masterpieces that come out of these sessions. Thank you to everyone who joined us — we can’t wait for the next one!

✨ Saturday Staff Spotlight! ✨

Say hello to Jessie, our dedicated Guest Relations team member! Jessie first began at Hampton Oaks 7 years ago before coming to River Terrace. She is known for her smile, creativity, and doing an incredible job in a role that allows her to connect with families and residents in meaningful ways.

Her favorite part of the job? Helping seniors settle into our community and watching the incredible progress they make with the support of our nursing and therapy teams. She also loves seeing families enjoy their time together, knowing their loved ones are in good hands.

Outside of work, Jessie stays busy with her husband, their 3-month-old baby, and their dog. She’s also a talented photographer for weddings, seniors, and families, a thrill-seeker who has ridden 199 different roller coasters , and a cook who loves making meals for friends and family.

We’re so lucky to have Jessie on our team—thank you for all you do!
