Thanks to a generous donation from and we will be doing a fundraiser at our East Side location for ’s food pantry!
We’ve got Equal Exchange tea for $5/box, with 100% of the money raised going to East Madison Community Center.

For 59 years, EMCC has provided a safe place for families in the Truax neighborhood to gather, learn and support one another. They are devoted to helping residents achieve their goals, gain skills and strengthen the community through education, employment, fitness and socialization.

Equal Exchange, founded in 1986 by three visionary entrepreneurs, is a worker-owned cooperative dedicated to building a fairer food system. They partner directly with small-scale farmers around the world to bring high-quality, ethically sourced coffee, chocolate, tea, and more to consumers. As a worker cooperative, each employee has an equal voice in decisions and a shared stake in their mission.

MadWorC is a membership organization of worker-owned and operated cooperatives and their supporters. MadWorC’s mission is to support and build the solidarity economy in the Madison area by promoting worker ownership and democratically controlled workplaces. They provide cooperative education, development support, peer networking, and technical assistance towards growing an ecosystem of worker-owned cooperatives, which can mutually support each other while building racial, gender, and economic justice in our communities.

If you’re feeling the financial squeeze this holiday season, we’ve got two ways to help.

The first is our pay-it-forward fund that can help with small copays for your prescriptions. This fund is made possible by small private donations from our wonderful patients. The other way we may be able to help is through our low-income support fund setup in partnership with and made possible by a generous private donation from a long time patron. With proof of low income status, such as SNAP or Badgercare eligibility, you can have access to up to $100 in funds to pay for your medications or a limited selection of over the counter items. This fund is capped annually, so you may reapply one year after your first application for more funds, if needed. Reach out to our pharmacy for the full details!

We’re also a part of the Drug Repository Program. If you have any unused medication in its original and sealed container, that does not expire within 3 months, you can donate it to our pharmacy! We try to match these donated medications up with patients who are struggling to afford these items.
