How do you teach a paramedic student to share bad news with a patients family member as you work along side your crew, attend to the patient and navigate your own emotions?

This weeks our students faced this reality as they entered into real life scenarios learning how to communicate with their partner, the patient, medical direction and family. They all did an amazing job.

This week starts a new chapter at the EEC as Carrie Hemming passes the baton as Paramedic Director to Brandon Jones.

Carrie stepped into this role for the last 2 years and has put her heart and soul into the program to help lead the students and staff to success. The countless hours worked and the time and energy she put into the program is much appreciated. We look forward to watching her continue to invest in the paramedic program as one of our lead instructors.

Brandon has been around the EEC for the last 8 years in various roles. First as a paramedic student in our program, then as an AHA instructor and now as the Paramedic Program Manager. In addition to working at the EEC, Brandon is a full-time paramedic with Madison Fire Department.

Congratulations to both Carrie and Brandon!!

Congratulations Cohort 68!! You did it! We are so proud of each of you and all that you have accomplished.

"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success." (Henry Ford)

This weekend the EEC team had a chance to unwind from work and enjoy each others company. The hard work and dedication this group gives on a weekly basis is amazing. We are proud that each one is apart of our team.
