We are thrilled to share that Kevin Eliceiri, the Associate Director of the McPherson Eye Research Institute, has been named the inaugural recipient of the Spencer Shorte Legacy Award by the Association of Biomolecular Research Facilities and Core Technologies for Life Sciences.
This honor recognizes Kevin’s extraordinary contributions to scientific collaboration, mentorship, and community building. As part of the award, he will launch the Illuminating People Program (IPP)—a new initiative designed to connect early-career researchers with experienced mentors, especially those who may not otherwise have access to these relationships.
Kevin’s work continues to shape not only scientific discovery but also the people and partnerships that make it possible. We are incredibly proud to have him as part of our community.
Please join us in congratulating Kevin on this well-deserved recognition!

AI has been advancing at a breakneck pace, but how can we teach it something we don't fully understand ourselves? Dr. Vivian Paulun's research on how humans achieve visual intuitive physics aims not only to explain a core feature of human intelligence, but also to inspire the development of more flexible and human-like artificial intelligence.

Support research like Dr. Paulun's by signing up for Cycle for Sight, the McPherson Eye Research Institute's annual fundraiser! Join us for our March 14th kickoff event at the Princeton Club West. Cycle with a team or exercise on your own during the month of April and make a difference!
