At OrthoTeam Clinic, located in Madison, Wisconsin, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon Ashish Rawal, MD, and his skilled team provide state-of-the-art orthopaedic care for patients with hip, shoulder, and knee conditions. Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Rawal attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with Honors. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago before completing his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the same institution. Afterward, Dr. Rawal completed a sports medicine fellowship at Methodist Sports Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. His fellowship training focused on the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle injuries. While in Indiana, Dr. Rawal worked with athletes from Indiana University, Butler University, University of Indianapolis, and the NFL's Indianapolis Colts. Currently, he is the head physician for the Madison Capitols hockey team. As an Associate Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Dr. Rawal is committed to teaching the latest techniques in arthroscopic surgery to orthopaedic surgeons across the world. Dr. Rawal and the OrthoTeam Clinic offer non-operative treatment modalities, such as exercises, nutritional and weight loss counseling, and physical therapy.
