Restore Counseling Services Restoring Love, Hope, and Peace of Mind

May is Mental Health Awareness Month... a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health.

As we step into May, let’s normalize checking in on ourselves, setting boundaries, asking for help, and supporting those around us. Strength is not pretending to be okay, strength is taking care of you.

Whether it’s stress, anxiety, burnout, grief, or simply needing someone to talk to, you do not have to carry it alone. Healing starts with one conversation.

Let’s make this month about awareness, compassion, and breaking the stigma. 💚

🌿🧠 The Rise of Mental Health Leave: A Sign of Healing, Not Weakness

At Restore Counseling, we view the rise in mental health leave as something powerful, a sign that people are finally listening to their minds, their bodies, and their hearts.

More individuals are recognizing that emotional exhaustion, anxiety, depression, and burnout are not things to “push through,” but signals that it’s time to pause, reset, and heal. Choosing to step back and care for your mental health is not giving up, it is choosing life, balance, and long-term well-being.

When we prioritize mental health:
✨ Relationships improve
✨ Work performance strengthens
✨ Self-awareness grows
✨ Healing begins

Mental health leave is not about escaping responsibility. It’s about restoring the parts of yourself that allow you to show up fully for your family, your work, and your purpose.

At Restore Counseling, we are honored to walk alongside individuals on that journey, reminding them that rest is not weakness… it is wisdom.

The holidays can be joyful—and heavy at the same time. 🤍
Between expectations, grief, financial stress, family dynamics, and trying to “hold it all together,” it’s okay if this season feels hard.

Mental health and wellness matter just as much during the holidays. Take breaks. Set boundaries. Rest without guilt. Ask for help when you need it. And remember—you don’t have to show up perfectly to be worthy of love and care.

If you’re struggling, you’re not alone. Be gentle with yourself this season.

Comment with the number that best fits where you are today:
1️⃣ Feeling overwhelmed
2️⃣ Managing but tired
3️⃣ Calm and grounded
4️⃣ Grateful and hopeful

No matter your number, you are not alone. 💙

The holiday season can be beautiful… and heavy.
Shorter days, colder weather, and the pressure to “be festive” can take a toll on our mental health.

This winter, stay intentional about your wellness:
• Check in with your emotions
• Keep a healthy routine
• Give yourself permission to rest
• Stay connected to people who feel safe
• Reach out for support when things feel overwhelming

Your mental health matters just as much as everyone else’s joy. Take care of you this season.
