Welcome to Madison Learning Center. Madison Learning Center (MLC) is a non-profit Center of quality child care and education. The mission of MLC is to provide a year-round safe, supervised environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Madison Learning Center offers fulltime care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old and school age care before and after school, school breaks, and summer care. Madison Learning Center has no religious affiliation. Madison Learning Center’s vision is to be nationally recognized as an outstanding childcare Center.
History and Funding - Madison Learning Center opened in 2014; MLC is not affiliated with any aspect of the former childcare which was held in the same building. Madison Learning started fresh with a brand-new program. MLC offers childcare as well as other learning programs. MLC is user fee based and accepts subsidy from the Department of Social Services.
Non-Profit Organization - Madison Learning Center is a non-profit organization. Non-profit organizations are dedicated to furthering a particular social cause or advocating for a shared point of view. In our case, we are dedicated to providing licensed-quality child care and education to the local families of Madison County.
Non-profit organizations fulfill their missions by reinvesting the proceeds earned rather than distributing the profits to company leadership. At MLC we reinvest what would otherwise be our profits back into the community. We do this by keeping our tuition costs low and granting scholarships or tuition assistance to families who are not eligible for state-funded assistance.
