Get To Know Your Providers: Dr. Beth Wiedel, MD

Dr. Wiedel is a founding partner of MWH. One of the favorite aspects of her job is continuity of care. She believes that the ability to listen is essential to establishing an optimal relationship with patients. She considers it a true privilege to participate in her patient’s care over their lifetime - whether they need contraception, preconception advice, pregnancy care, perimenopause counseling, or menopause treatment.
In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Nature is her therapy!

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide—but when detected early, the chances of successful treatment are much higher.

💗 Know the Signs

A lump or thickening in the breast or underarm
Change in size, shape, or appearance of the breast
Skin dimpling, redness, or rash
Ni**le changes or discharge
Persistent breast pain

💗 Know Your Risk Factors

Family history of breast or ovarian cancer
Genetic mutations (BRCA1, BRCA2)
Age (risk increases as we grow older)
Dense breast tissue
Lifestyle factors such as alcohol use, obesity, or lack of physical activity

💗 Why Awareness Matters

Early detection through regular self-exams, clinical breast exams, and mammograms saves lives.

Spreading knowledge helps support ongoing research and empowers women to advocate for their health.

This month, let’s stand with survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and continue the fight for better treatments and prevention.

📣 Share this message to raise awareness and encourage early screening—it could save a life.
