The Archway Recovery Residences is officially adding another apartment this week to meet the demand from treatment providers and community referrals.

Less than one year ago we opened our first unit. Since then, the community has continued to trust us with their people and that’s something we take seriously.

To support the growth, we’ve brought on two Resident Managers and expanded our programming infrastructure. We’ve also updated our website to better communicate who we are and the mission we’re building here in Madison and Huntsville.

Every new bed represents a new life rebuilding. Every referral represents a family’s hope.

Thank you to our referral partners, treatment providers, probation officers, courts, families, and alumni for believing in The Archway.

More will be revealed.

Today I had the opportunity to tour a mother through our facility and introduce her to The Archway brand of recovery. Afterwards she sent me this message:

“To Archway staff-I just wanted to personally thank you again for taking the time to meet with me today. I left feeling truly encouraged and impressed….. not only by how beautiful and well run the facility is, but by the heart behind it.
The way you explained everything so clearly and honestly meant more to me than you probably realize. It’s evident that this isn’t just a business for you…. it’s a calling, and that carries weight.
As a mother, it gives me peace knowing there are men like you who are willing to pour into others using what you’ve overcome yourself. I’m deeply grateful you would even consider my son, and I truly appreciate your time, your transparency, your compassion. And thoughtfulness to speak with Ronnie’s probation officer to even get him possibly expedited over there!
Thank you again. What you’re doing…. JUST KNOW, IT MATTERS!”

This is why we do what we do.

One of our core values at The Archway is that recovery doesn’t happen in isolation. That includes grief, loss, and the transitions that follow them.

We’re grateful for the work NOMA is doing here in Huntsville to provide ongoing Grief Support Groups for those carrying the weight of loss. These groups meet every second and third Thursday from 6:00–7:30 PM at 2200 Bob Wallace Ave SW.

If you or someone you know needs a place to talk, process, and be supported — NOMA is here for you. We stand with them as part of a community of care. ❤️

One of our men reached his one-year milestone last night.

Recovery takes courage — not just to stop using, but to let other people in. This man came through our doors, accepted the support available to him, and allowed community to play a role in his healing and completed our program here at the Archway with high honors.

That’s not small. That’s not easy. And that deserves to be celebrated.

His chip (kip) represents one year of showing up, one year of learning how to live differently, and one year of becoming someone he’s proud of.

We honor his accomplishment and the work he put into earning it.

“Dignity in Recovery”

At The Archway Recovery Residences, we believe recovery deserves more than survival. It deserves dignity, beauty, and a future worth walking toward “step by step”.

Addiction robs people of so many things but it also robs them of imagination. If a man can’t imagine himself living well, working with purpose, building relationships, and contributing to the world… then sobriety becomes just another version of suffering.

We don’t accept that.

That’s why The Archway provides a structured recovery community in a beautiful, modern residential setting here in Town Madison. Our residents wake up every day in a space that reflects who they can become, not who they used to be.

They experience:

Safe and comfortable housing
Peer accountability and community
12-step immersion and mentorship
Case management from licensed professionals
Employment support and vocational engagement
Connection to sponsors and recovery networks
Dignity, empathy, and love

We choose dignity on purpose, because dignity is transformative.

Our men serve in the community, show up for each other, make amends, find jobs, reconnect with family, and imagine futures that addiction once made impossible.

We don’t do this work for recognition, applause, or awards. We do it because recovery is possible, and because men deserve to experience the kind of life that makes staying sober worth it.

If you or someone you love is looking for a recovery residence that believes in dignity, structure, and genuine transformation then please…reach out to us. You don’t have to do this alone, and you don’t have to settle for survival when you were built to thrive.

The Archway Recovery Residences will attempt (because we are busy) to highlight a spiritual principle a month that guides recovery in daily living.

January’s principle is Willingness.

Willingness is the moment a person stops fighting reality and starts participating in change.
It doesn’t require confidence.
It doesn’t require certainty.
It only requires a decision to show up and do the next right thing.

In recovery, willingness looks like:

Asking for help
Following direction
Staying when it’s uncomfortable
Letting go of old ways that no longer work

Nothing meaningful begins without it.

As we enter the new year, we invite our community…and especially the men we serve….to practice willingness in small, practical ways each day.

Because the key willingness unlocks while action opens the door.
The work happens after.

🎄 Merry Christmas from The Archway Recovery Residences 🎄

Christmas at The Archway is about more than a date on the calendar....it’s about belonging.

Here, love shows up as structure when life feels chaotic.
It looks like accountability paired with compassion.
It sounds like honest conversations, encouragement on hard days, and reminders that no one has to do this alone.

The holidays can be heavy, but recovery reminds us that connection matters more than perfection. Whether today is joyful, quiet, or complicated, you are not alone.

We see men rebuilding trust with themselves and their families.
We see growth, responsibility, and pride returning where shame once lived.
We see community of men supporting men, learning how to live with purpose, integrity, and hope.

To our residents, families, referral partners, and supporters: thank you for being part of this journey. Your trust allows us to create a therapeutic, supportive environment where recovery isn’t just protected...it’s nurtured.

From our Archway family to yours,
Merry Christmas.
May this season be filled with peace, connection, and continued healing. 🎁❤️

🎉 A Powerful Milestone at The Archway 🎉

Today, we celebrate something truly meaningful.

We are proud to recognize three current residents of The Archway Recovery Residences who have completed all Twelve Steps and have been given the go-ahead to sponsor others in recovery.

This is not a title.
It’s not a badge.
It’s a responsibility.

Sponsorship represents lived integrity, accountability, humility, and a willingness to give away what was freely given. It reflects consistent action, not perfection—and a deep commitment to walking alongside others with honesty and compassion.

At The Archway, recovery is not just about staying sober.
It’s about becoming useful.
It’s about service.
It’s about learning how to live differently.

We are honored to witness this moment and proud of the work these men have done—quietly, steadily, and with intention.

This is how recovery multiplies.
This is how communities heal.
This is the Archway.
