What is sciatica and why does it keep coming back?
Most people lump sciatica, low back pain, and hip pain together…
But they’re not always the same thing.
Let’s break it down 👇
Your hips should stay level, and your spine should be straight.
When one hip tilts, or when your spine develops a lateral curve (scoliosis), it creates uneven pressure on the nerves in your lower back.
That’s what causes the sharp, shooting pain that runs down the back of your leg — that’s sciatic nerve irritation.
Sometimes the issue isn’t the nerve itself… it’s the facets — the small joints in your lower spine that can get irritated when your posture or core balance is off.
Here’s what that means in plain terms:
✅ Sciatic pain → nerve pressure, usually from misalignment or hip tilt.
✅ Facet pain → joint irritation from too much or too little curve in your low back.
Different cause — different fix.
That’s why every case of low back or leg pain needs a structural assessment first.
Too much curve, not enough curve, pelvic tilt, or rotation — it all changes the way your spine loads.
When alignment is restored, pressure comes off the nerves… and the pain finally stops.
Don’t guess which type of pain you have — find out what’s causing it.
