Our Story
MANP is non-profit association devoted entirely on the needs of Nurse Practitioners in the state of Mississippi. Our focus is on moving the profession forward in our state. We recognize the importance of nurse practitioners in the provision of healthcare in our state, and the need to enhance their visibility, legislative clout, and participation in key decision-making roles to advance the nurse practitioner professionally. We are your voice. Collectively, with one voice, we can reach our goals of advancing the profession and protect the progress we make.
MANP is also the only nurse practitioner association in the country with its own training facility. MANP is an affiliate of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is your specialty association. We provide advocacy for nurse practitioners with the legislature, Congress, other policymakers and with other healthcare associations both in the state and nationally. We also provide educational conferences and networking opportunities, and representation on boards and commissions. MANP has a full-time lobbyist, John Morgan Hughes, in Jackson who is constantly lobbying for the needs and goals of the MS nurse practitioner. Join today. We value your input and expertise.
