Good Monday morning MPWC families. We know the weather today is pretty awful, but the first flower bloomed at the new practice yesterday! Pretty soon you’ll see daffodils, tulips, irises, anemones, and more. We planted over 250 flower bulbs out front last fall - keep your eyes open for a little spring beauty coming your way from us soon! 🥰 Growing plants, especially from seed or bulb is always an exercise in hope, patience, and love, kind of like watching our children grow up before our eyes, don’t you think? We are so grateful to be bringing Autism diagnosis to our community in the near future as early intervention is key to best outcomes for children with Autism. PLEASE NOTE: Dr. McRoberts is currently enrolled in a 6mo advanced training program so these services are not available just yet to the entire practice.

As part of Dr. McRoberts’ Autism training in diagnosis, he is needing to practice a structured behavioral testing model called the STAT test.

It is an inperson test that takes about 15-20 min to complete. The testing is noninvasive and only looks at specific social interactions and behaviors.

He is looking for a volunteer that would be willing to participate as part of his practice in implementing this test. As this is a practice for administering the test, Dr. McRoberts is looking for a family and child with normal development between the ages of 16 to 21 months of age.


It would require videoing the participant and Dr. McRoberts, for review with the developmental training staff to determine the adequacy of the test and the administration. No part of the video or the test would be made public.

Dr. McRoberts does have some availability late Friday 3/6 morning, starting at 1030 or early afternoon at 1 pm. Ideally, for full participation and accuracy, it is not recommended to perform the test during a normal schedule nap time or if the child is hungry.
