Disabled and Here:
Invisible Disabilities in the Workplace
May 4, 2026, 11:30 – 1:00 virtual
Not all disabilities are visible.
According to the CDC, about half of the people with disabilities in the U.S, 33 million adults, have an “invisible” or “nonapparent disability” like Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, mental health disabilities, chronic pain, and more. Workers with invisible disabilities are about half as likely (47%) to disclose a disability at work. Additionally, their access needs might be less understood by others (SHRM, 2023).
Join us for a conversation with Ly Xīnzhèn M. Zhǎngsūn Brown and Nikyra McCann about the lived experiences of workers with nonapparent disabilities and how to foster neuro-inclusive workplaces.
