Looking for a therapeutic after-school program? We’ve got you covered! Here are the highlights:

✅ **Free transportation** to and from camp.

✅ **Hours:** 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM.

✅ **Curriculum:** Emotional regulation, mindfulness, social skills, cooking, laundry, and more!

✅ **Support for:** ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, emotional regulation issues, high-functioning autism, and more.

☀️ Splash-tastic Fun at Caris Kids Camp! 💦

Our campers enjoyed some unstructured leisure time and made the most of it with a fun-filled trip to the pool! 🏊‍♂️🌊

Laughter, splashes, and sunshine filled the day as the kids relaxed, connected with peers, and embraced the joy of simply being kids. These moments of freedom and play are just as important for growth and well-being!

✨Caris Kids Camp was all about creativity and yummy treats! ✨

👩‍🎨 Clay Molding:
Our campers got their hands messy sculpting mini masterpieces—boosting fine-motor skills, sparking imagination, and giving everyone a relaxing, tactile way to express themselves. You could see the pride in their smiles as each creation took shape!

🧁 Pancake Muffins:
Next, we flipped traditional pancakes on their heads and baked them into bite-sized muffin cups. The kids mixed, poured, and customized with blueberries and chocolate chips, learning basic kitchen skills while tasting the sweet reward of teamwork.

We’re so proud of how these activities fostered confidence, cooperation, and plenty of giggles along the way. 💙

🌬️ Breathing, Buttons & Blooming Growth! 🌻

Caris Kids Camp learned about supporting one another and building self-awareness! We started with Buddy Breathing, where clients practiced calming techniques by modeling and coaching each other — a powerful way to build connection and emotional regulation. 💛

Next, we dove into our “Push My Buttons” activity, helping clients identify their personal triggers and sort them into small, medium, or large — learning that not all frustrations carry the same weight, and that awareness is the first step to control. 🎯

To wrap up the day, we visited our garden, pulling weeds and checking in on the sunflowers we planted. 🌱 This hands-on time in nature encouraged mindfulness, responsibility, and the calming benefits of nurturing something that grows.

Every moment today helped clients strengthen their ability to soothe, reflect, and grow — inside and out. 💚

🎬 Movie & Wellness Day at Caris Camp! 🧠💛

This week, our clients enjoyed a fun and meaningful outing as they headed to the theater to watch The PAWS Movie! 🐾 While they enjoyed the laughs and adventure, the experience also helped them recognize and talk about different feelings and how we handle them — like staying calm, using quiet voices, and showing respect.

After the movie, we took the fun outside with a visit to the Park, where clients were introduced to hula hooping as a way to move their bodies and manage big emotions. They also spent time near the pond, watching the fish and showing nurturing curiosity — a great reminder of the power of noticing the world around us and caring for others. 🌿🐟

It was a beautiful day of connection, reflection, and playful learning — and we’re so proud of how each client continues to grow! 💪✨

Caris Kids Camp, hit the lanes for some bowling fun and it was more than just a good time!

Bowling gave our clients the chance to:
💪 Build coordination and motor skills
🧠 Practice focus and patience
🎯 Set goals and learn from mistakes
💬 Encourage one another and celebrate teamwork
😄 Boost confidence with every roll!

It was amazing to see smiles, high-fives, and friendships grow with every frame. Whether they knocked down one pin or all ten — every client was a winner! 🎉

At Caris kids camp, our young chefs rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on in the kitchen! From mixing to measuring, stirring to serving — cooking wasn’t just about making delicious food, it was about building life skills. 🥗🥣🍕

Through cooking, clients learned:

✨ Following directions and routines
✨ Boosting confidence and independence

Caris Kids Camp explored the power of our words and thoughts. 💬✨

We started with Trash Talk vs. Treasure Talk—recognizing how we sometimes say hurtful things to ourselves, and then challenging that with positive affirmations to build self-belief and confidence. 💛

Clients also participated in an uplifting “I Am Someone” activity, helping them connect with their strengths and identity. 🙌

To wrap up the day, we visited the garden to check on its growth—just like us, it’s a work in progress, and it’s blooming beautifully. 🌱🌼
