We are so pleased with the first week of our 8-week Health in Your Hands series, which focused on social health and the importance of community. We had a wonderful time hearing from Roma Payne, who spoke on this topic Friday at the Madisonville Library. As we move into Week 2, our focus shifts to Health & Wellness through exercise and movement. This week our goal is to encourage safe, enjoyable ways to stay active—local senior center exercise classes and free SafePath yoga classes (including chair options), indoor walking opportunities, simple at-home exercises, and education on how regular movement supports heart health, blood sugar control, mobility, and mental well-being.
