During CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America), we attend Capitol Hill Day to visit with Tennessee's legislators. EVERY year Congressman Chuck Fleischmann takes, and makes, time to visit with prevention coalitions in his region. He doesn't do it just for a photo op (though we love those too), he does it to hear from those with boots on the ground. He knows the power of primary prevention and he fights for us. He understands that for every $1 spent on primary prevention, there is a cost savings of up to $17.33. He talks, he listens, he asks questions. He has a love for Monroe County and even has an original watercolor of our beautiful courthouse, painted by the talented Ellen Thomas, displayed in his office. We truly appreciate him and his fabulous team!

❄️ Snow Day Fentanyl Bust ❄️

While winter weather moved into the area, our officers were still hard at work keeping our community safe.

Narcotics Division Sergeant Thomas Spradlin had been working a case for several days involving a wanted individual known for drugs, Kalob Hall. After receiving information on Hall’s location, Sergeant Spradlin requested assistance from our Patrol Division. Officers responded to the area, made contact, and took Hall into custody without incident.

During the arrest, Hall was found to be in possession of a resale amount of suspected fentanyl totaling over half an ounce, with an estimated street value of more than $3,000. That’s dozens of potentially deadly doses now off our streets.
