Children are invited to bring a favorite teddy bear, stuffed animal, doll, or action figure for a FREE checkup with our pre-health students. This fun, interactive event helps kids feel more comfortable in healthcare settings while learning through play. 🧸🩺

Children are invited to bring a favorite stuffed animal for a free checkup with our pre-health students. This fun, interactive event helps kids feel more comfortable in healthcare settings while learning through play. 🧸🩺

What is the Teddy Bear Clinic? 🧸🩺

The SAU Pre-Health Club’s Teddy Bear Clinic is a fun, interactive event designed to help children feel more comfortable with healthcare experiences. Kids will bring their favorite stuffed animal, “check them in,” and walk through a hands-on clinic where we treat all kinds of pretend boo-boos - from scraped knees, and a broken leg to a cold!

Our goal is to create a positive, friendly introduction to healthcare in a safe and welcoming environment for children in our community. 💙

📣 Please note: We don’t have a specific time just yet - that will be announced in a later post, so stay tuned! It will be on April 21st at Columbia County Library.

We can’t wait to share more and see you there! ✨

What is the Teddy Bear Clinic? 🧸🩺

The SAU Pre-Health Club’s Teddy Bear Clinic is a fun, interactive event designed to help children feel more comfortable with healthcare experiences. A great day at the Arkansas Academy of Science Annual Meeting ’26 hosted at Southern Arkansas University

Numerous Pre-Health Club members had the opportunity to present their research posters, showcasing their hard work, dedication, and passion for the healthcare and science fields. We’re incredibly proud of the time and effort that went into each project!

In addition to presenting, several of our members also volunteered throughout the conference, helping ensure the event ran smoothly and creating a welcoming environment for guests and participants.

Experiences like this allow our students to grow professionally, gain valuable presentation skills, and connect with others in the scientific community. We’re proud to be part of such an impactful event!

Congratulations to all of our new board members for the 2026-2027 year. Looking forward to a wonderful year!!!!
