At Embolden You, we believe mental health care should be personal, intentional, and deeply impactful. That’s why we work differently—by carefully selecting exceptional clinicians and thoughtfully matching them with each client from the very start.

Our mission is to Embolden each person we serve—to help them step into healing with courage, clarity, and the right support behind them. We create a space where people feel seen, supported, and empowered—guided by clinicians we would trust with our own families.

Rooted in compassion and driven by clinical excellence, we’re committed to inclusivity, integrity, and care that goes beyond the surface because we know the right support can change everything.

This is mental health care, reimagined—personal, elevated, and truly exceptional.

First day of school.
🎒 Tiny backpacks.
👟 Shoes that still look brand new.
😊 Smiles that are equal parts excitement… and worry.

And if we’re honest? That’s us as parents too.
✨ Excited for what they’ll learn and who they’ll become.
💔 But this year, also carrying fear that school isn’t always the safe place it should be.
Parenting has always been bittersweet—preparing them, cheering them on, letting them go. But in moments like this, it may feel heavier. The “letting go” comes with questions and anxieties no parent should have to hold.

💛 If your heart feels a mix of pride, fear, hope, and anxiety as you send your child back to school—especially in the shadow of recent tragedies—you are not alone.
At Embolden You, we’re here to support kids, parents, and families through life’s transitions—big and small. We currently have immediate openings and would be honored to walk alongside you. 💛

🏫 Helping Kids Feel Safe After Scary Events

The first days of school are supposed to be filled with excitement, new routines, and fresh beginnings. But after recent events, many families are carrying extra worry and fear alongside the usual back-to-school jitters.

💛 Children need to feel safe in order to learn, grow, and thrive. As parents, if your children have become aware of or are affected by the recent tragic events, you can help rebuild that sense of safety in simple but powerful ways:

🕰️ Keep routines steady — predictability helps kids feel secure.

👂 Listen without rushing to fix — sometimes they just need space to share their feelings. Healing and rebuilding a sense of safety takes time.

💬 Reassure honestly — acknowledge scary things happen, and most importantly remind them of the adults who are keeping them safe.

🤝 Stay connected — whether it’s a hug, shared meal, or quiet time together, connection is grounding and fosters secure attachment.

✨ It’s okay if back to school feels heavier than expected. You’re not alone in navigating it, and support is here for both parents and children. Healing starts with safety, and safety grows from connection. We are here to support you.

🗣️ Talking to Kids About Hard Things
When scary or confusing events happen, many parents wonder: “What do I say? How much should I share?”

The truth is — kids need information to feel safe, AND it needs to match their age and stage of development.

💛 Tips for age-appropriate conversations:

👶 Young children (under 7): Keep it simple and concrete. Reassure them they are safe and cared for.

👧 Elementary age: Answer their questions honestly, but don’t overload them with details. Correct any misunderstandings gently.

👩‍🎓 Teens: Be open, listen more than you talk, and invite their perspective. Share facts, and encourage healthy ways to cope with feelings.

✨ No matter their age — what they need most is your calm presence, honesty, and reassurance.

If you’re unsure how to navigate these conversations, or if your child is struggling with fear or anxiety, we’re here to help. We have immediate openings for children, teens, and families.

Our hearts are heavy today following the tragic school shooting in Minneapolis. No child should ever have to question their safety at school. We are especially holding space for the children, families, and community who are grieving and shaken by this unimaginable loss.

Events like this remind us how deeply trauma and crisis ripple outward. Even for those not directly involved, the weight of fear and grief can surface in powerful and unexpected ways. Children and adults alike may feel more anxious, unsettled, or unsafe in their everyday lives.

At Embolden You, we are holding a compassionate space for anyone impacted by this tragedy. We believe every child deserves safety, and every family deserves support. If you or someone you love is struggling to process the weight of today, please know you are not alone.

We are here—whether that means helping children find words for their feelings, supporting parents as they carry their families through, or simply being a safe place to process the pain.

🌿 You can care deeply and protect your peace. 🌿

Supporting a friend who’s struggling is a beautiful act of love. And it’s also okay if you end up feeling overwhelmed, drained, or unsure of how to show up.

Here’s the truth:
You can hold space for someone without sacrificing yourself.
You can be compassionate and have boundaries.

Some ways to support and protect your energy:
🛑 Check in with yourself before saying yes to every call or favor
📅 Set time limits: “I’m here for 30 minutes if you want to talk”
📲 Text instead of call if you’re emotionally tapped out
💭 Remind yourself: Their healing is not your responsibility
🫶 Offer resources instead of solutions—“Would it help to talk to someone trained in this?”

Being a good friend doesn’t mean always being available.
It means being honest, present, and grounded.

Boundaries aren’t barriers—they’re bridges with clear signs about where it's safe to meet.

We all cope in different ways—and every strategy, whether helpful or unhelpful, has served a purpose at some point in our lives.

Coping can help us survive, avoid pain, or feel safe when we don’t have other tools–part of healing is recognizing when those patterns no longer support who we are or who we’re becoming.

Helpful coping might look like:
🌿 Getting fresh air
💬 Talking it out
🖊️ Journaling
🎨 Creating
🚧 Setting boundaries

Unhelpful coping might look like:
🍷 Numbing
📱 Mindless scrolling
🚪 Shutting down
🍿 Overcommitting
🙈 Hiding how you really feel

We can honor what got us through—while also learning new ways to care for ourselves. Strategies that bring clarity, connection, and growth.

✨ Now welcoming new clients at Embolden You
If you’re ready to take that first step, we’re here to walk with you.

🌧 You don’t have to fix it. 🌧

If you’ve noticed a friend pulling away… struggling… not quite themselves lately—
you don’t need all the right words.
You’re not responsible for solving what they’re going through.
But you can do something powerful: hold space.

Holding space might look like:
💬 “I’ve been thinking about you—want to talk?”
🧘 “No pressure to explain. I’m just here.”
🍲 “I made extra dinner. Want some company or should I just drop it off?”

Sometimes, the most healing thing we can do is simply sit with someone in their pain.
To let them be heard without interruption.
To listen without fixing.
To allow silence without rushing to fill it.
Being a safe, steady presence often matters more than any solution.

Just a reminder:
You can be supportive while also having boundaries.
You don’t have to carry their pain.
You don’t have to fix their pain
You just need to remind them they’re not carrying it alone. 💛
