A big milestone for our K2 Maitland team—we’ve successfully randomized a participant into the APPROACH study, evaluating an investigational treatment alongside psychological support for individuals living with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).

Meet Shivani Patel, a Clinical Research Assistant at K2's Daytona Beach site.

Shivani is a clinical research professional and an experienced pharmacy technician with a love for science. Previously, she worked as a pharmacist in India, where she gained hands-on experience in both prescription review and patient counseling – building a strong foundation in both skill and compassion. When she’s not in her scrubs, she’s all about the little joys – spending time with family, taking breezy beach walks, and playing badminton with her husband (sometimes a little competitively!). She’s a foodie at heart who enjoys cooking.

🚶‍♀️It was a beautiful Saturday morning to walk in step with our Parkinson's community!

Our K2 Education Team joined the Parkinson Association of Central Florida for the 12th Annual Walk for Parkinson at Cranes Roost Park to bring resources, education, and hope. The walk is the largest local gathering of individuals living with Parkinson’s, along with their families, friends, and supporters.

What is Care Coaching?
Care coaching provides caregivers with personalized assistance, including:

✅ Resources to support caregiving
✅ Guidance in developing a personalized care plan
✅ Building confidence in managing dementia-related conditions
