I had the great honor of participating in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Culture for Clinicians training. This experience not only deepened my knowledge of treating trauma and post-traumatic stress symptoms with Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), but also highlighted the urgent need for accessible mental health services for our law enforcement officers—especially as we lose one officer to su***de every eight days in Florida. The instructors, many of whom have spent their careers in law enforcement and public service, brought a wealth of experience, having responded to countless critical incidents—including Pulse. I am profoundly grateful for the knowledge they shared, and I hold deep respect for their courage, resilience, and lifelong dedication to protecting and serving their communities.
