Teacher Feature · Diana De Piñeres
Diana has been honing her yoga teaching craft since 2003, guided by a deep respect for tradition, inquiry, and lived experience.
Her early training began in Advaita Vedanta and Vinyasa, and her path later expanded into Ayurveda as a graduate of Mount Madonna College of Ayurveda (Class of 2009). Diana continues to teach seasonal diet and lifestyle classes and lead Ayurvedic detoxification programs that support whole-person health.
Since 2015, Diana has been a dedicated student of the teachings of the late B.K.S. Iyengar and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She currently studies with Senior Iyengar Yoga mentor Holly Walck Kostura, continuing a lineage rooted in precision, care, and intelligent use of props.
Yoga and Ayurveda have been essential to Diana’s own healing journey. Through Iyengar Yoga, she overcame 15 years of chronic back pain and SI joint issues, gaining strength, resiliency, and freedom in both body and mind.
Beyond the studio, Diana loves her surfing family, her four pets, Colombian music, kirtan singing, Maui streams, and the precious potential of human life.
