The body remembers.
The body protects.
The body heals.

At RTMH3, Claudia reminded us that when overwhelm hits, the body disconnects to keep us safe — and movement and breath bring us back home.

Healing isn’t just understood.
It’s embodied.

12/13/2025

In the RTMH3 workshop Reconnecting to Thrive: Somatic Practices to Build Resilience, Claudia reminds us of a truth we can’t ignore:

When we talk about somatics, we’re talking about the body — our first language.

When we feel overwhelmed or unsafe, the body protects us.
And one way it does that? It disconnects.

Through movement and breathwork, Claudia guided us back into ourselves — helping us feel, release, and reconnect so we can truly thrive.

Healing doesn’t happen in the mind alone — it’s embodied.

Thank you, 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, for delivering The Lens of Resilience: Capturing Healing, Joy and Power and reminding us that community helps us heal — and that the power of mentorship can shape lives for generations.

When our keynote speaker, 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, took the stage with The Lens of Resilience: Capturing Healing, Joy, and Power, he brought us back to what truly sustains us:

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀.
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀.
𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀.

In this clip, Thaddeus asks a question that cuts straight to the truth:
“𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺?”

Together, the room answered with one voice:
“𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼.”

Then came a full-circle moment —
𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗮, founder of ITYouth.ORG, shared how Thaddeus mentored him 18 years ago as a young man. Their exchange reminded us that healing is generational… and impact echoes far beyond the moment.

Thaddeus closed this segment with a powerful embodied practice — a full “𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁” — releasing tension, opening space, and grounding us back into our bodies.

RTMH3 brought people back to themselves —
back to laughter,
back to connection,
back to the kind of joy that reminds you you’re still here,
still healing, still becoming.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵:

When healing is embodied, not hidden.
When community becomes the bridge that carries us forward.

RTMH3 wasn’t the end.
It was the reset.

And the joy we created together?
That’s the energy we’re taking into RTMH4.

HEALING IS THE REVOLUTION
And the movement is already in motion.

Three weeks ago — we gathered for .
Not just to learn. Not just to listen.
We showed up to shift the future of mental health.

This conference wasn’t a moment.
It was a declaration.

Because when we heal, we disrupt everything that told us we shouldn’t.
We become braver in a world that profits from our pain.
We stand together in truth, connection, and embodied resilience.

This photo represents the ones who stayed until the very end —
the leaders who know that silence doesn’t save us.
Community does.

Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for choosing courage over comfort.
Thank you for saying “yes” to healing — for yourself and for others.

The revolution continues.
And YOU are part of it.

Stay tuned — the post-event journey starts now.
More stories. More impact. More transformation.
RTMH4 is already being written.

This Rethinking Mental Health: 3rd Annual Conference was a powerful reminder of what happens when community, truth, and embodiment meet in one room.

This year’s theme — Embodied Resilience — brought together leaders, practitioners, and storytellers across cultures and sectors to explore mental health through a new lens:
healing the individual while strengthening the collective.

From movement and somatic practice, to holistic wellness, to real conversations about depression, stress, culture, and lived experience — the day delivered community insight, grounded strategies, and transformational moments.

We’re proud to share that the RTMH3 Speaker Bios + Direct Links to Their Work are now available for our wider community. These are the voices that shaped the day, each bringing their own expertise, lived experience, and leadership to the conversation.

More photos and highlights from the conference are below — moments of truth, connection, and resilience.

The movement continues.
