John’s Pet Chipmunk!

We don’t usually get tornados in Pennsylvania, so it’s shocking to see the line that the tornado took through the forest that surrounds my cabin. Fortunately, it missed my cabin by about 30 feet, but it ripped down a huge number of 200-300 year old trees with obvious tremendous force. Here’s a picture of just a branch from one of these trees. The branch itself is the size of a full grown tree.

In any event, Rowena and Rosemarie Cua were right. It was the chipmunks that saved my cabin. When I got home there was a whole herd of chipmunks high-fiving each other and telling us it was time for us to dump the red squirrel and chipmunks are now our new power animal. There’s still plenty of trees left and it’s still a beautiful forest. Now new light is coming in for new growth.

Zamboni!

Joel you don’t miss anything! :) I drove my Zamboni down from Pennsylvania to Ocean City at 5 miles per hour. It took me a hell of a long time.

I loved my tricycle and I made a quantum leap when I moved to my bicycle and an even bigger quantum leap when I started driving high performance motorcycles. I’ve always enjoyed driving different machines. I was fascinated with the Zamboni because of its mechanisms. The thing I would ultimately love to do is to eventually drive one of those snow cats through the deep mountain snow.

Here is a picture of some Zamboni groupies. Joel, as you know, if you want to attract attention, “Pull out your Zamboni!”

Tornado protector!

As most of you know, John lives in a beautiful cabin that is over 100 years old in a an ancient forest. He came home to find out there had been a tornado that brought down 200 year old trees all around the cabin, but the cabin was untouched. People suggested it was his energy that kept the cabin safe, but he feels strongly that it has more to do with his new health drink that came with his name on it. :)
