Dr. Hughes and his associate Dr. Stacy Brown are both LSU SVM graduates. Dr Hughes has been practicing since 1989 and Dr. Brown since 2003. Do you need a Christmas kitten? These kittens are approximately five months old. 3 males, 1 female. Their mama showed up at the home of one of our senior clients while pregnant. Our client is unable to keep all of them for safety reasons and needs to rehome them. They can be seen at our clinic.

Our Story

Dr. Hughes has been practicing veterinary medicine since graduating from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He opened his original practice in Malvern in the fall of 1989 and sold it in the fall of 2013. After pursuing other interests for a few years while also providing relief veterinary services outside of Hot Spring County, he opened a new practice, also named Hughes Animal Hospital, in February 2017. He practiced out of a temporary location while his new clinic was under construction. Dr. Hughes moved into the new building in late September 2017. He is located at 853 Henry Street in Malvern, the former location of KFC. Look for his big green sign on top of the hill!
