November is National Diabetes Awareness Month and here at MCMH we have a wonderful team ready to help guide and support you through every step of your journey with diabetes. 🩸 From our providers and diabetes education department to diagnostics and nutrition services, we will work with you to build a plan that meets all of your needs! 📝
In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, MCMH is excited to offer $10 A1C Tests throughout the month of November. An A1C test is your 90-day blood sugar average. 💉 Anyone can take advantage of this test! If you are unsure or have questions, please reach out to your Primary Care Provider or our Diabetic Educator, Amy Seipold, at 712.623.6700. 📞

The month of November is a time to raise awareness and take action to prevent or manage diabetes. Diabetes is a chronic condition that affects how the body turns food into energy. It can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, kidney failure, and blindness. There are different types of diabetes, such as type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Each type has different causes and treatments. People with diabetes can live healthy lives by following a healthy diet, being physically active, taking their medications, and checking their blood sugar regularly. Diabetes awareness month is also a time to support research and innovation to find better ways to prevent, treat, and cure diabetes. 😀🤝👨‍⚕️

🤍 Today is World Lung Cancer Day! 🤍
A Low Dose CT scan is the preferred method to detecting lung cancer early, 🫁 when it can be easier to treat and has better odds of being cured. A Low Dose CT scan emits much less radiation than a typical CT scan and takes about 15 minutes.
Is a Low Dose CT scan right for you?
◾️Are you 55 years or older?
◾️Do you smoke now? Or did you quit in the last 15 years?
◾️Do you smoke (or did smoke) at least one pack a day for 30 years OR at least two packs a day for 15 years?
If you can say yes to all of these, you may qualify for a lung cancer screening! Questions? Talk with your primary care provider to see if a low dose CT scan is right for you!

🎉 A Night of Festive Fun & Fall Shopping!
Make plans to join us at the Red Oak Bomgaars on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, from 5–8 PM for this special event celebrating women and community. 🎉
For the past eight years, Bomgaars has hosted Ladies Night, donating 5% of total sales from the evening to local cancer centers, hospitals, and women’s organizations. What started with 21 locations and $18,000 in donations has grown to an incredible $150,000 donated to 183 communities last year alone! 💰
This year, we are honored that the MCMH Foundation has been chosen as the local recipient. Your purchases that evening directly support Women's Cancer Screening and early detection right here in our community. 🎗️
