Today, team Gateway HorseWorks celebrated their 10 year anniversary by navigating the high ropes course ! Metaphors of our journey abounded… it was so scary to get started, we navigated lots of uncertainty, and eventually found our confidence through experience and connection with each other! Many thanks to the Jane B. VonSick Scholarship Fund for making today possible for our team! Thank you all for making 10 years possible!

It's beginning to feel a bit like Winter! As we prepare for Winter Wonder-Farm we have some volunteer opportunities coming up! Check them out below and contact jordyn@gatewayhorseworks.org to sign up!

November 23rd: Join our annual Volunteer Day, 1pm-4pm to decorate the farm! Bring out your family to help put up Christmas lights and decorations to get everything looking festive. 

December 5th: additional prep for Winter Wonder-Farm! Come between 10am-12pm or 12pm-2pm to help set up luminaries and put finishing touches around the farm! 

December 7th: Sign up to help with Winter Wonderland-Farm. Support parking, service projects, and directing people around the farm. We will have Volunteer Slots from 3:30pm-5:30pm and 5pm-7pm.

Today, we honor the courage, service, and sacrifice of our nation’s Veterans. 🇺🇸

At Gateway HorseWorks, we are proud to serve Veterans through programs that incorporate horses for the mental health treatment of people. Research on the Eagala Model shows that equine-assisted psychotherapy can lead to significant reductions in PTSD and depressive symptoms, improved daily functioning, and greater life satisfaction among Veterans.

Every day, we see the healing power of the human–horse connection in action — fostering trust, connection, and hope.

Join us at Gateway HorseWorks on Sunday, December 7th from 4–7 PM for an evening of connection, compassion, and holiday cheer!

This year, we’re meeting the moment — bringing our community together in the true spirit of the holidays to give back in simple, meaningful ways. Families and friends of all ages are invited to join us for hands-on service projects in our heated tent, including:
💌 Creating Kindness Cards to offer hope to people receiving mental health treatment,
🌿 Making Wreaths of Hope for people in residential programs during the holidays,
🛍️ Assembling Blessing Bags for people who are experiencing food insecurity.

Plus, enjoy all the magic of the season:
🍪☕️Complimentary hot cocoa & cookies,
🎶 Live holiday music,
🐴 Professional photos with the ponies,
📬 A North Pole mailbox where you can send your holiday wishlist,
